Spelling: Sentences are due tomorrow and test will be on Monday, Dec. 17th. This will be our last test and sentences for this year !! WoW !! Read in French on a regular basis. Students can use their library book or their cahier de sons. Son "m" this week. Reading comprehension : Students are working on their 2nd comprehension with their partner. We will go over and review this one this week and next week, they will work on one on their own. Again, looking for types of questions (repérage; inférence et réaction). Grammaire : Test on les verbes avoir et être (present tense) on Tuesday, Dec. 18th. Sciences Humaines: Students have been comparing 2 cultures (past and present). We are looking at how clothing; technology; mode of transportation; celebrations; food; etc. were different in the past. Students have a test on Friday, Dec. 14th. They need to review/study : a) differences and similarities in school's in NB and Africa b) factors that change our culture (social media; peers; family; school and religion) Turkey dinner this Thursday. Cost is 7$. You must buy tickets at the office.

They need to be able to identify the different questions : a) repérage (answers are in the text). b) inférence (answers are in students head and in the text -also know as read between the lines) c) réaction (answers are in stuents head and they normally need to give an explanation). 3- There is a verb test on Tuesday, Dec. 18th. Students need to review the verbs "avoir et être au présent". They have all the notes in their "les verbes" duo-tang. They need to know how to conjugate them with the pronouns or in a sentence without pronouns. Avoir Être j'ai je suis tu as tu es il-elle- on a il-elle-on est nous avons nous sommes vous avez vous êtes ils-elles ont ils-elles sont The bold words are the verbs conjugated at the present tense. The other words are pronouns. If there is no pronoun in a sentence, students have to think about is the noun SINGULAR OR PLURAL. If it is SINGULAR, they use the verb that is conjugated with il-elle-on; if it is PLURAL, they use the verb that is conjugated with ils-elles. Sc, Humaines: Students were working on 3 small projects about la culture. I asked for anyone who hasn't completed their projects to come in at lunch. Unfortunately, nobody showed up. I am marking what I have. We are now starting to talk about past and present culture. What influences culture (ie: social media; family, etc.) Students should review notes on this. There will be a test on Friday, Dec. 14th on this. |
