FILA : 1- Spelling : le son "s" a) assez f) souvent b) aussi g) triste c) une semaine h) sans d) intéressant(e) i) ensuite e) observer j) ensemble **Notice that sometime there is "one" "s" and other times "two" "s". Between two vowels, we need to put "two" s for it to make the sound "s". Sentences are due this Wednesday. Also, there is a sheet on "Vocabulaire de l'halloween" that the students worked on last week (write 9 sentences using Halloween vocabulary). They need to pass this sheet in on Friday (or before). 2- Read 10 minutes a day in French. 3- Writing : students started to write about one of the following topics last week. This week, they will finish this and read it to the classroom, a) Mon(ma) meilleur(e) ami(e). b) Mon animal préféré. c) Ma journée parfait. d) Mon passe-temps préféré. SCIENCES HUMAINES : 1- Test next Wednesday, November 9th. We discussed this with my homeroom. Mme Schofield's class did not have SC. HUM. today so we will talk about it tomorrow. Review/Study; a) Definitions : un élément; la culture; la culture ethnique; la culture des jeunes; la culture populaire; la culture techno, une ressemblance, un mode de vie. b) 5 types de culture with a few examples for each.

FILA :
1- Sentences were due yesterday. Again today in FILA, students were given some time to work on assignments that were not done. Students who had missing assignments all received the dates and what to do. I will collect these until next Tuesday. 2- Reading : Today students read sentences and a song to me. I was looking to see if they could pronounce the "a" sound correctly. 3- Le cahier de sons should come home again today. Please read/review and bring back to school on Friday. FILA :

If they are unsure or can't remember the correct pronunciation of the letter, students can use "google" or "youtube" to find it. 3- Test tomorrow on "Les verbes - avoir ; être et aller au present". They need to know how to conjugate them. No word bank will be provided. SCIENCES HUMAINES : 1- Mme Schofield's class wrote a test today.
