FILA : Le son "è-ê" . 7 sentences due this Wednesday. Test will be next Monday, Nov. 6th. Students need to focus on Capital letters and punctuation, conjugating the verbs avoir; être and aller correctly (present tense), spelling of the words that we have seen since September (common grade 6 words).

FILA : Le son "é" (ée-ez-ai-er-et) Write 7 sentences for tomorrow. Get quizzes signed and corrections done. Sentences from previous sounds must be corrected as well.

Even though we did not see all of the letters, students can still practice some. Students should read/review sounds/words 3 times a week. Extra practice never hurts !! Grammaire : les verbes "être; avoir et aller au présent" test was sent home to be signed. We are continuing with these verbs but without pronouns. Students can explain to you how this works !! Reading comprehension : Again, different types of comprehension questions are being reviewed. Writing : For now, students have been only writing their sentences. In November, we will be doing more writing using the writing traits and different types of writing (informative; descriptive; lists; recipe, etc.) FILA : Reminder of the test tomorrow on "les verbes avoir; aller et être au present". FILA : Students need to pass in their 7 sentences and their spelling test corrected and signed tomorrow. Some students need to go back in their duotangs and complete their corrections/sentences. SCIENCES HUMAINES: Students should have passed in their project (la main) on 5 different types of culture. Students who have not finished this have until this Friday to pass it in !! We are currently talking about "la culture matérielle et la culture non-matérielle". They started to work on another project "le blazon" which is due next Tuesday, Oct. 24th. 1- Le son "u". Students need to write 7 sentences using this week's words with the "son u". These are due Wednesday, Oct. 18th. While writing their sentences, students should correctly use the verbs avoir ; être and aller (au présent). Also, they need to use capital letters and punctuation. Students received their spelling test yesterday. To be signed and corrected (write 5 times each incorrect words). Test for the son I-y will be on Tuesday, Oct. 10th. Mme Schofield's class went last Wednesday. 3- Grammaire : We are continuing les verbes au présent (avoir ; être ; aller). 4- Compréhension de lecture : We will continue with 3 types of questions (repérage; réaction et inférence) in a "texte narratif" and in a "texte descriptif". SC. HUM : There will be another test on 7 continents; 5 océans and 6 frontières du Canada on Tuesday, Oct. 10th. A word bank will be provided.
